it's true. m&ms really don't melt. we have carried a pack around india for a week and they were perfectly good yesterday on our 12 hour, sweaty train ride. for some reason we got stuck on a waiting list, which is trouble and i hope never happens again. so we got stuck in the lowest of low classes. not even sleeper class. we only had a bench for us three girls, another man and our luggage. and it gets worse. the funny thing is that it was so horrible it was hilarious. like i didn't even hate it that much because it was so bad. haha. there were times when i wanted to cry, buti just laughed and looked at it in another light. i mean, i can't change it--so why not embrace it? i will give you a small picture. there were 5 men across from us on one bench. two men sleeping above them in the luggage area, a man sleeping above us, 4 on our bench, plus our bags. there were men surrounding us (not in a creepy or bad way- we were totally safe) we sat there for 12 hours. my body went into positions i didn tthink was possible in attempt to be comfortable. haha. FINALLY it was over. our phrases for this trip have been live the dream- i live for moments like this and gong show. (we just put ourhands in a gong fashion and make the sound) jody and i decided to get peach shirts made!! we took a boat to kotchi and arrived at 4 30 am. our hotel is pretty cute, had a CLEAN bathroom and even towels. i am getting some laundry done tomorrow!!
tonight we are watching some native dancing! i am so excited. as well we are watching them apply all their make up. i can't wait!! then we'll eat something and go to bed. tomorrow we are doing a back water tour, and then a cooking class. kotchi is great! i will tell you more later!
thanks for your prayers, and keep em' coming.
xo's!
